Advancing Quality Excellence Collaborative Community

Overview

The Advancing Quality Excellence Collaborative Community (AQEcc), formerly known as the Case for Quality Collaborative Community, offers a unique opportunity for medical device stakeholders to work together to enhance device quality and patient safety.

Program Background

The AQEcc focuses the medical device ecosystem—manufacturers, healthcare providers, government agencies and others—on product quality, a focus that boosts patient safety and outcomes, adding value for all stakeholders. Through initiatives and working groups, stakeholders develop practices, tools, and metrics to promote product quality, from product design and manufacturing to product performance. AQEcc efforts include the Voluntary Improvement Program (VIP), SafeSpace, #makeCAPAcool – Risk-Management Framework, Accelerate Sustainable Capability Pilot, Championing a Culture of Quality Initiative, and a multitude of stakeholder events.

* The FDA does not establish, lead, or operate collaborative communities. Nor are collaborative communities intended to advise the FDA.
