Medical Extended Reality (MedXR) Regulatory Science of Patient Facing Applications (PFA)
Overview
The MDIC MedXR Patient-Facing Applications (PFA) Project engages stakeholders from industry, healthcare, academia, and government to identify opportunities, challenges, and evaluation needs for extended reality (XR) technologies designed to directly support patients. This includes exploring use cases across education and care delivery, with the goal of advancing patient-centered XR innovation in healthcare.
Are you interested in participating in the MedXR Patient-Facing Applications Initiative?
The MDIC MedXR Initiative is expanding its portfolio, which will include Patient-Facing Applications in addition to the current focus on clinician-facing applications such as surgery planning, therapeutic interventions, and surgery.
We are inviting subject matter experts from the MedXR ecosystem to join and collaborate with MDIC on this effort to identify the critical evaluation gaps and challenges associated with patient-facing MedXR devices.
