Building on the success of the MDIC Medical Extended Reality (MedXR) Summit series, MDIC is expanding the theme to highlight the broader ecosystem of Connected Healthcare as a dedicated pillar within the 2027 MDIC Innovators Forum.

Care is no longer confined to the four walls of a hospital. A patient’s vital signs are now captured by a wearable medical device or a wellness one, interpreted by an algorithm in the cloud, surfaced to a clinician on a screen miles away, and acted on by a device that may sit in a living room, an operating suite, or the back of an ambulance. The medical device is only one node in this picture. The value-and the difficulty-lives in the ecosystem: the communication infrastructure, sensors, data, and security authorizations and pipelines, Al models, clinical workflows, regulatory pathways, and reimbursement structures that have to work together for connected care to deliver on its promise.

The MDIC Innovations in Connected Healthcare Pillar will convene the people building the Integrated Digital Healthcare Ecosystems. Over three days in the Washington DC area, this Pillar will examine connected care across the three settings where care is being deployed at: Home, the Clinical Setting, and in Emergency Settings outside the hospital walls. We invite you to share the work, the vision, the data, and the catalysts that are moving this field forward.

We are looking for high-quality, practical, and engaging sessions that clearly articulate what the audience will learn and apply. Strong submissions will:

• Present real-world case studies, implementations, or lessons learned
• Address cross-cutting challenges across technologies and stakeholders
• Offer clear takeaways that attendees can use immediately
• Include diverse perspectives (industry, regulators, clinicians, patients)
