The Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) hosts events and webinars to inform the public of the collaborative efforts we’re involved with, in an effort to increase patient access to innovative medical technologies. Our events provide an opportunity for our members and stakeholders to network and engage on topics such as clinical diagnostics, device quality, early feasibility studies, patient input and access, and much more. In addition, MDIC representatives are regularly attending, speaking, or exhibiting at industry-related events to help share insights and advancements on regulatory, scientific, and health economic challenges within the medical device and diagnostic industry.

In a rapidly growing industry, it can easily become challenging to keep up with all of the events that are hosted each year. Whether you’re looking to network with other industry professionals, learn more about the latest device regulations, or become more educated on industry-related topics, there are countless events to choose from. To make it a bit easier, we’ve compiled a list so you can determine the event that best fits your needs and your budget.

J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference

FDA Public Workshop- Content of Premarket Submissions for Management of Cybersecurity in Medical Devices

This FDA workshop will discuss the newly released draft guidance Content of Premarket Submissions for Management of Cybersecurity in Medical Devices. Field Service Medical 2019

CRT (Cardiovascular Research Therapies) Conference

CRT is one of the world’s leading interventional cardiology conferences and is attended by more than 3,000 interventional and endovascular specialists. This annual conference held each year in Washington, DC, is supported by MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute and serves as a forum for physician and health-care professional education about new cardiovascular technology and interventional procedures in the field. Patients as Partners US
March 11-12, 2019 · Philadelphia, PA

The 6th annual Patients as Partners is guided by a dedicated group of advisors from pharma and biotech, patient advocacy and FDA who meet quarterly to develop the conference agenda. This is the only event that truly demonstrates how to involve patients throughout the entire medicines development life cycle to drive greater efficiencies in clinical research.

MDMA FDA Forum PMA/510(k) Workshop
March 14-15, 2019 · Palo Alto, CA

MDMA’s FDA Forum focuses on unique insights and strategies to govern the 510(k) and PMA regulatory pathways, as well as FDA reform efforts and more. This forum offers numerous interactive panels led by FDA officials, industry leaders, and policy experts.

ACC.19 (American College of Cardiology)
March 16-18, 2019 · New Orleans, LA

BMES/FDA Frontiers in Medical Devices Conference: The Role of Digital Evidence to Support Personalized Patient Healthcare

Leah is the Director of Communications,  Marketing, and Membership for MDIC. She is responsible for managing all MDIC member relationships and public engagement. Working closely with MDIC program staff, Leah develops strategies for regular communications to members and stakeholders on project and organization status. In addition, she works with MDIC leadership to advise on media messages and media relations. As a member of the MDIC team, Leah contributes to the general advancement of the MDIC mission and goals. She also oversees MDIC’s branding, membership, web and social media presence, and communications strategies.
